Stormsteel – An Elemental Enemy Weapon Overhaul v1.5

What it does
Enemies across the world now carry elemental weapons and drop them when they die. Every one of them is a real weapon built from a real game model, with the element on the blade, a name that tells you what it is, and buffs that fit where you found it.

– 5,851 new weapons across every class you can wield. Sword, axe, mace, spear, two-handed sword, greataxe, warhammer, hammer and halberd carry an element. Bows, shields and muskets carry buffs instead, because the game has no way to put elemental melee attacks on a ranged weapon.
– All three elements in every region. Which weapon class carries which element rotates as you travel, so a fire sword in one region is an ice sword in the next. Nothing is locked behind a single area.
– Scaled by region. Weapons arrive already refined to a level that matches where you found them. Early regions drop early gear, late regions drop late gear. Adding every item to be fully refinable would make the mod so big it would take an unreasonable amount of time to mount as it would need 10x the already crazy amount of record edits.
– Elites and several bosses carry their own. Some Boss enemies drop stronger weapons with an extra buff and an immunity. 43 named enemies each carry a signature weapon that only they drop, and 41 of those can be refined further at any blacksmith, with their buffs growing as the weapon is refined.
– Enemies use them on you. Around a third of armed enemies are wielding a Stormsteel weapon, not just dropping one. That is where the elemental hits you take are coming from.
– Adds, never replaces. Every vanilla drop still drops. Stormsteel weapons are added to the loot pool on top of what enemies already carried.

Two editions, pick one
The download is one file with a dropdown in DMM. Pick one edition and only one.

– Standard is the intended drop rate, roughly a few drops per fort cleared.
– Generous is the same mod at five times the drop rate, for people who want to see everything quickly.

Both editions use the same item keys, so you can switch between them mid-game and keep the Stormsteel gear already in your inventory. Do not enable both at once. They write the same records and will collide.

Read this before you install
– Requires Definitive Mod Manager 2.4.0 or newer.
– Crimson Desert 2.01.00 or newer.
– Expect long load times. This mod rewrites tens of thousands of records across twenty game tables(it’s the biggest data mod to date). Mounting it in DMM takes a few minutes, and the game takes slightly longer to load with it enabled. Nothing is stuck. Give it time.
– If enemies die too fast. Elemental weapons and their buffs make you stronger. If the game starts to feel easy even on hard mode, open DMM’s Mod Builder, go to Hard Mode, and pick an Enemy HP option (1.5x, 2x, 2.5x or 3x) and a Boss HP options. They stack with this mod and take a few seconds to build.

Compatibility
– Built as a V3 patch, not a replacement table. It merges with other mods that touch the same game data instead of overwriting them.
– Nothing vanilla is removed or renamed. Every change is an addition, so a game update’s own loot changes are kept.
– Works with the Stormsteel Bracers and Boots add-on and Venom add-on. The three were built to be mounted together but can run independently.
– If an enemy ever appears to swing an invisible weapon, another mod that edits enemy equipment is the first thing to check.

Install
– Install with Definitive Mod Manager 2.4.0+, pick an edition from the dropdown, enable it and mount.
– To switch editions, disable one, enable the other, mount again. Your existing Stormsteel gear stays.

STORMSTEEL BRACERS AND BOOTS
An Elemental Armour Add-On. Fire, ice and lightning on your hands and feet. Scaled by region. Adds to what enemies already drop, replaces nothing.

What it does
The companion to the Stormsteel weapon overhaul. Enemies across the world now drop elemental gloves and boots, built from real armour models, and your punches and kicks carry the element while you wear them.

– 1,095 new pieces, gloves and boots, with fire, ice and lightning rotating by region so every area drops all three.
– Scaled by region. Each piece arrives already refined to match where you found it.
– Nothing to see, and that is expected. Armour has no socket the visual effect can attach to, so unlike the weapons there is no visible element on the item but the hit effect on enemy will show.
– Adds, never replaces. Every vanilla drop still drops.

Stormsteel Venom – A Poison Weapon Add-On
The game has exactly one poison weapon. This add-on gives poison to the rest of the arsenal. Enemies now carry and drop Venomsteel swords, axes, maces and spears, plus gloves and boots, and every one of them poisons whatever it hits. The weapons carry a wind effect so you can see what you are holding. Nothing vanilla is removed or changed, the pieces are added on top of what enemies already drop.

What it does
– Over 1,000 pieces: four weapon classes plus gloves and boots, each built from a real in-game model.
– Poison as real damage. Every hit raises the target’s poison, the same way the Sword of Wayward Woods does. Gloves and boots carry it on your punches and kicks; like the armour add-on, armour has nothing to see, the tooltip line is the tell.
– A visible effect on the weapons. Poison has no effect of its own in the game, so Venomsteel weapons wear the wind effect.
– Power bands that follow your progression, the same way the weapon mod does.
– Enemies wield them too. A share of armed enemies draws a Venomsteel weapon, a different share from the ones the weapon mod arms, so the two mods never fight over the same hand.
