v1.0fix
– Added ini Threshold support
Tired of mashing the A button just to get Kliff to move at a decent pace? This mod allows you to sprint automatically simply by tilting your thumbstick. Say goodbye to unnecessary button mashing and enjoy a more modern movement experience.
One of the most frustrating aspects of Crimson Desert’s controls is the requirement to hold the A button to run. It feels like we’re playing GTA V from ten years ago!
This ASI plugin monitors your controller input and automatically sends a Left SHIFT key signal (Keyboard) once your thumbstick is tilted past 2/ of its range.
No more holding down the A button just to traverse the world—Kliff will start running as soon as you push the stick far enough.
Note on Compatibility: Currently, this mod supports XInput controllers only. Sorry, native DualSense users! (Unless you are using Steam Input or DS4Windows to emulate an Xbox controller).
Important: This mod only automates the standard “Run.” To perform a Full Sprint, you still need to double-tap the A button as per the original game mechanics.
Installation:
– Download the ZIP file.
– Unzip and place CDSmoothmove.asi and version.dll (the ASI Loader) into the following directory: …\Crimson Desert\bin64\
– Launch the game and enjoy!
Uninstallation:
Simply delete the CDSmoothmove.asi and version.dll files from your bin64 folder.
Technical Details:
– Trigger Threshold: 66% Stick Tilt.
– Input Method: Sends virtual VK_LSHIFT signal.
– Engine Impact: Zero. This is a lightweight polling script running in a separate thread.

First of all, thank you sooo much for this mod, makes the game a lot better.
I was wondering if it would be possible to make it so it does not auto-run during combat (when your weapon is unsehathed). It makes it a bit dificult to control during combat if you have to be careful not to move the control stick too far. Don’t know if it’s possible, but it would be amazin, tbh. Also, it makes flying a bit hard, as you fly too fast, but it’s kind of controllable if you are careful.
Again, thank you for the amazin mod.
